# Your efforts will produce results.
# You can learn as you go.
# It gets better over time.
# Enjoy the blog starting process!
Later, you will discover that what seems so hard today has become easier.
In this post, I will cover 6 steps that will help you accomplish starting your blog.
1. Find your voice. Discover Your Topic.
Some people set up a blog and seem to already know about what they are going to talk to. For others, this can be and often is a very arduous part of the starting process.
Truthfully, many bloggers starting out do not give enough attention or time to this step. You might be asking what does finding my voice have to do with starting new blog? It has a lot to do with it. In fact, it is one of the most important beginning points for every new blogger.
It is through the finding of every blogger’s unique voice that the appropriate blog topic is found. Once you find your voice you will have a blog that comforts not only your interest but your readers as well. If you already haven’t done so, I’d like to encourage you to take a bit of time to explore this part of starting a blog.
2. Choose A Domain Name
Once you know your topic the next step is choosing a domain name for your site. A domain name is the web address or URL of your blog. If you do not know much about domain names or how to choose a new one, you are not alone. This is not an easy task even for the experienced blogger.
The blogging world has grown considerably in the last several years. Many domain names we first think and search are already taken. Deciding on the right one can be difficult. To read more about how to choose a domain name, click the link below; Choosing Your Domain Name
Web hosting is a service that allows businesses and individuals to have a website or web pages or word press onto the Internet. A web hosting service provider, or web host, is an organisation that provides the web hosting know how and services needed for the website or web page to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted on a special computers called web servers.
When you want to view your website on the internet, all you need to do, typing your website address or domain name into your browser. Your computer will then connect to your server and your web pages will be delivered to you through the browser.
If you do not have an own unique domain name registered, your hosting company would help you to register a new one.
When you decide to create and host a website you have to register a new unique domain name, email addresses, and web hosting all bundled into one web hosting package.
The computer is not much different from what we use at home but it is called a web server. So, effectively, people on Internet can get to see your website when they access those website files or pages residing on that server.
4. Install WordPress
Most of the well-known Web–Hosting companies have a quick installation of WordPress. Once you get WordPress installed you are right on your way to having your own self-hosted blog!
WordPress is well-known for its ease of installation. Under most circumstances, installing WordPress is a very simple and easy process and takes approx four to five minutes to complete. Many web hosts now offer tools to automatically install WordPress for you.
5. Choose a Theme
There are many WordPress free and premium (paid) themes available to choose from. It can be difficult to decide which one is best for your needs. It is like a shopping in the wilderness among millions of themes to choose from them.
Many people choose their theme but once they have, do not know what to do with it. One idea I have in choosing a good theme is making sure it is responsive. This means showing up nicely on any device.
6. Customize your theme
You have chosen your theme but now don’t know what to do with it. Whether free or premium (paid) all themes need to be customized to create the desired (matching of domain name) look and feel. Once you have accomplished these 6 steps listed above you are now ready to create some blog posts.
A couple of blog posts and a create about page will be a great beginning!
